About the Author

Charles Legg, Jr. is a professional technologist, a life-long learner, and educator. His strength is an extensive technical understanding; his passions are learning, doing, and teaching. His expertise spans the areas of electronics, mechanics, information technology, writing, fire science, computers, and photography.

Charles was also deeply involved in astronomy as a youth, and volunteered at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) at the age of fifteen. He worked at COSI for over fifteen years both full and part time. He is a 30 year veteran of the Columbus Division of Fire where he worked as both a fire lieutenant and information technology manager. He has run several business including Legg Electronics, MacSense, and Legg Consulting. He majored in photography and cinema while attending The Ohio State University and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information technology from Franklin University.

Because of his extensive interests and passions, he considers himself a renaissance man of sorts. Charles lives in Columbus, Ohio with his wife Carol, and has two grown children and two grandchildren.
